Mandys lesson (unit9) blood weding

Image result for our day out

in Mandy lesson was very exciting we done something new with the dance we normally do and learnt  a few new tango moves to join in our play .   I found the dance very easy but I found it difficult to keep up with the beat here and there . how we made up the dance was pretty simple we had the boys starting it off by clapping there hands to on side and stumping there feat to the beat . they done that for 4 times then we joined in we done our dance moves them  me Lauren Jessica and jasmine done a little freestyle.  In this video how we begin the dance which we had to either stand there with smiles on our face or you can just sway until it was our Que . To join in clapping with the boys , w clap with the boys twice then stamp our foots  to the beat twice also . we then sway to the side twice then go back once , the dance was pretty simple but it was down to yourself to make it more than what it looked . I felt like miss chose this dance cause it my look traditional towards the audience  because the play was based in Spain.  we  then separated the dance group and had  a few dancers dancing at the front and had 3 dancers at the back doing some tango .  The dance at the front was a routine we made up together as   a group and had added it to the dance

Mandy's lesson/ robs (unit 9)

Today was a very fun and creative day  we got a lot of work done and went through majority of the play . We done this very smoothly and quick we  also,   done  this by staying focusing and reading the stage directions on the script  . We then  Annotated a few words in the script to help us read it more better and  to make it easier for the character . We all had to do  it if recommended so that we can all stay on track .  We practised how we would want the play to be played out   on  stage and where we would want to enter and leave the stage .  When we had  more than two actors on stage we kept  the ones who weren't talking in the scene them   upstage . so that  the  audience couldn't see much off them , And  had the actors who were talking  downstage with a spotlight over them .  The spotlight would be useful so it draws attention towards them.

We kept the actors on stage to  make it look more like a wedding  rather than  having just the bride and the groom in one room  with no guest or  family member behind them . The audience had to have in mind that  we  are at a wedding , my role I played today during lesson was the wife again . How I felt like I played the role was okay but I personally felt like I could do better and react a lot  more rude towards my husband . Who is a cheater that doesn't care about me or my two children's . I feel like I need to work more on my attitude and learn my lines very soon and I would be good for my play

i hope this help me in the future when my performance comes i would be prepared to play my role correctly as the insecure wife towards her husband .  i always have a look out for when nd what my husband is doing when his not in  my sight  since as his know as a big cheater

Monday 18th April (unit 9)

Today in tutorial we had a cover teacher we went over a few stuff about laws and rules . We discussed as a class what we thought indivually what a rule and a law ?    .  After that we had a little debate about what we thought the difference between them , we all agreed as a class  that a rule was something you can brake without getting into serious trouble . However we had said that braking a. Law  can  get you into serious trouble with the police and ect.      We then answer these question on a peace of paper to answer the same question but indivually so you can hear our person opinion . In robs lesson we took turns rehearsing our lines with each character  this helped a little bit but found it difficult at some point but we managed to pull through it and worked together as a class

thursday 14th (unit 9)

During lesson we went through the play together as a class  we took turns playing roles  for example me and Lauren took turns playing the bride because we have the same character .  My character as the    Leonardo wife seems to be very naggy towards her husband and you see this mainly in the play because she knows that he doesn't care about her since as he cheats on her and she still puts up with it .

Tuesday 11 (unit9)

In drama we read through our script " Blood wedding " together as a whole class , we were also given our roles that we would be playing .   We done this so that everyone could have an mindset of what the play is about and how they're character is during the play . We done this by reading the narrators  part and also by rob describing to us during the lesson  what was going on during the play gave us more detail into who our characters are  .    I found it very helpful him telling me so    that  i have a image of how i should be in the performance .  It was also handy because it gave ,me an idea how i would to dress as the wife and in the  play also how they dress .     How I plan to do this is by doing a few more research on my character and maybe watch it online  .    Which is what i done in my spare time i watched other drama school performed the play  which helped me see how our play may look . This would help me in future when I have any other performance I would adapt this behaviour and become more better at my acting  in process, i would like to make it a habit so i understand more about the play .

Our day out REASEARCH unit 6

Image result for our day out

The play "  Our day out " was written by   Willy Russell  he was influence to write the play because  he  was once taught at a similar school and had been  that had been on very few school trips .  Our day out is an interesting play based upon a  school trip with a group of underachieving children . The play conveys a deeper message about life in areas like Liverpool for people in the late 1970s .  The playwright - Willy Russell skilfully created  a strict old fashioned , self character Mr Briggs  and throughout the play convinces us that he is transforming into a fun laid back person .
For our performance Mr Briggs was played by Remal and was performed exactly how  he is described in the script .  He had to be very uptight throughout the hole play and punishing the kids every chance he got .Which annoyed them since as it was the only time they had gotten freedom .  This will make the audience focus on how Russell uses his character to help  the audience  understand the plight of the children in the progress class.   At the begging of the trip he uses Mr Briggs sharp term entrance onto  the coach to accentuate his personality as he suddenly barks at Reilly  sit down .     For  our performance  this was  done  throughout majority of the journey , we then also added an extra part were we had two students arguing over Justin Bieber . We have turn around furiously and tell them to be quiet , we also have him still lecturing the kids in the play ground .  We done this to give the audience a clear image that he is a stereotypical strict teacher .

The social and cultural background in "Our day out "Willy Russell has written many plays over the last thirty years, but there is one feature that is common to all of them: the issue of social and cultural background.  This is the situation of the characters :their surroundings  the society in which they are brought up  and the culture of that society .    It is this that can lead to behaviour , feelings opinions and general outlook  of the characters . Russell explores the effect that society and culture can have on people in all his plays , but in none it is so poignant as in" our day out ".
The story of what happens when Mrs Kay takes her progress class out  of inner city Liverpool on a school trip to Conway castle  , Wales . Throughout "Our day out " the issue of social and cultural background is ever -present but it is discussed and conveyed in many different forms : the colloquial  dialect Russel uses :the symbolism that is featured : the behaviour and attitudes of the children  the way that people react to these children and the insights we get into other family lives .
