Today in drama we sat down together as a class organizing which character will be playing each role on which day. We also worked on the stage directions and our lines . How we done this was by working through each scene together and reading it off by scripts . We worked through our stage direction which was helped by Rob who was our director throughout rehearsal . He direct us with what way to enter and leave the stage , he also wanted us to stay in character whilst leaving stage . So as your leaving the stage or a scene it would make sense depending on the mood your character is in . Most of the time I had to walk of stage very angry because I was getting frustrated looking for my husband . I done this very well by showing a very angry face and had one of hands balled up and the other one on my hips . I felt like this look was best because it shows the audience I am angry but also trying to calm down since as am at a wedding . This would be very useful for when were performing our play because it would look very well planned and would make a lot more sense for the audience who is watching . We then went through our lines and the skills we we're told that needed working on . Which were Body language and tone of voice , What body language is ? Which is communication by movement or position, particularly facial expressions, gestures and the relative positions of a speaker and listener. This was needed in our play because we need to show the audience we are listening to one another while we are on stage . Also to show our reactions wether it was dramatic or not .
By using tone of voice this was mainly to help us project our voice while being on stage . By tone of voice and this was done by a particular quality, way of sounding, modulation, or intonation of the. Voice as expressive of some meaning , feeling, spirit.
He also gave us a method to use " the magic if " . This is when you imagine if you was in the characters position and you act what you would do or how you would feel in reality . This method would be very useful for not only me but everyone indivual cause you have to use a lot of your imagination to help you get into character .
DANCE MANDYS LESSON. UNIT 9 ;
in dance we worked on new steps to add to our routine the steps were simple at first first but became difficult once we realise we wasn't doing correctly . We had two dancers to show us for an example how the dance and the type of pace where suppose to be on . We spent majority on the lesson learning the steps and hitting the beats , We then went back to the dance we done last week in dance . And had to show it to Mandy ,we started from the begging from where we had the boys at the back starting off the dance . Then the girls join in we do a few salsa steps then we divide the dancers into two where some have dance partners and some are doing solo downstage. we made the dance look very traditional were we would have little shals around the solo dancers, so that they would be able to use it as some sort of prop to wave around while dancing .
